When switching to a new material batch, reassess every value that can scatter from batch to batch.
- The new certificate has been checked and clearly assigned to the order.
- The carbon equivalents have been compared and the preheat temperature reassessed.
- A trial bend has been carried out before the production run, because springback is a batch property.
- A firing test record for the new batch is on hand or has been commissioned.
- Traceability has been switched over: storage, accompanying paperwork and marking have been adjusted.
- The first welds and bent parts from the new batch are inspected closely.
